COUNSELLING PSYCHOLOGY
The Counselling Psychology course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and ethical principles required to support individuals, families, and groups facing emotional, psychological, and social challenges. The course combines theoretical foundations of human behavior with practical counselling techniques, enabling students to provide empathetic, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based support within various community and institutional settings.
Learners develop competencies in understanding human development, mental health issues, behaviour change, communication techniques, and crisis management. The course places strong emphasis on self-awareness, professional ethics, and reflective practice—key elements for effective counselling work. Through class sessions, role-plays, case studies, and supervised practicals, students gain hands-on experience that prepares them for real-world counselling roles.
